Jeunes pousses et entreprises essaimées, financement, programmes du campus, clubs étudiants, laboratoires de recherche et événements récurrents de l'écosystème de SFU. Inclusion fondée sur des critères, sans classement ni compte.
Elle est gratuite et publique, et répond sur une seule page à quatre questions : qui bâtit des entreprises à SFU, qui finance les projets issus du campus, où les étudiants peuvent s'impliquer, et quels événements récurrents valent le déplacement.
Tout ce qui figure ici provient d'informations publiques. Chaque fiche indique les sources publiques qui établissent son lien avec SFU, et l'ensemble des données est publié en data.json à chaque mise à jour, sans compte requis. Les définitions des champs et des valeurs sont publiées de la même façon, en schema.json.
Les fiches sont rédigées dans la langue de leurs sources publiques; seule l'interface est traduite. Traduire une description sourcée reviendrait à publier une affirmation que personne n'a faite.
L'inclusion repose sur des critères. Il n'y a ni note, ni classement, ni inscription payante. Une jeune pousse est admissible si elle remplit toutes ces conditions :
Il n'y a ni taille ni financement minimum. Les fondateurs seuls, sans revenus, sont admissibles. Une exclusion n'est jamais un jugement de qualité : toute entreprise écartée peut voir exactement quel critère elle ne remplit pas.
Pas d'offres d'emploi, pas d'évaluations, pas de fil d'actualités, pas de comptes, et aucune entreprise d'autres campus. Les investisseurs providentiels ne sont pas répertoriés à titre personnel. Les données sur les salaires et les rondes de financement sont exclues parce qu'elles se périment rapidement.
Les propositions sont lues et appliquées à la main, par lots. Toute fiche vérifiée il y a plus de six mois fait l'objet d'une vérification, et les fiches des clubs et des événements sont entièrement revues au début de chaque année universitaire, car le renouvellement des comités est ce qui périme discrètement une carte de campus. Les demandes de retrait sont la seule exception : venant d'une entreprise ou d'une personne répertoriée, elles sont traitées dans les sept jours, sans poser de questions. L'exactitude passe avant l'exhaustivité : une petite carte exacte vaut mieux qu'une grande carte périmée.

Le formulaire de soumission (en anglais) est la voie d'entrée : une nouvelle fiche, une correction ou une demande de retrait. Indiquez la source publique de chaque affirmation. Tout ce qui est soumis devient public dès sa soumission.
Ethan Cratchley, sans lien avec SFU : ni études, ni emploi, ni diplôme. Tout ici provient de sources publiques. Il s'agit d'un projet communautaire, et non d'une publication universitaire; il n'est ni affilié à Simon Fraser University ni approuvé par cette université. Ce n'est pas un outil de repérage d'investissements et il n'alimente aucune base de données privée. Les données sont sous licence CC BY 4.0 et réutilisables dès aujourd'hui. Le code est sous licence MIT; le site est construit à partir de ce dépôt.
